He can sense it in the air. Every day the sky seems darker, people are disappearing, his relatives are casting him furtive looks over dinner and his wand is rarely out of reach. The war’s inches from his doorstep. But he can’t do anything, because he knows nothing.
Harry Potter is fed up with being kept in the dark.
With one of the most recognizable names in both wizarding society, you’d think that would grant him access to pressing information. Information about himself. But the Order doesn’t see it that way, and Harry gets frustrated. And that’s when he’s at his most reckless.
Despite the Darkness creeping in from every corner, Harry is looking forward to one more adventure with his best friends before the first spell of the Second Wizarding War is cast. The anticipation isn’t helping much, because he knows the longer time lingers, the darker Voldemort’s plans become. One thing’s for sure: Harry knows darker plans equals greater destruction.
But he does what he can for himself and his friends in the meantime. While he continues his Elemental training with Kaltagonus, he’s learning more about what his newest ally, the Sword of Amenophus, can do.
And he’s not sure whether to be impressed or alarmed.

It’s hard being the youngest son—just ask Ron Weasley. Forever shadowed by his older brothers and younger sister, Ron thinks he’s pretty unremarkable. Even his mother hasn’t yet figured out he hates the color maroon. Yet every Yule, without fail, she knits him a maroon jumper he has to wear. No respect.
But since his first year, Ron’s been in the glare of the limelight for his friendship with Harry Potter. He’d do anything for his best friends, Harry and Hermione, even die, no questions asked. And he’d tell them absolutely anything, if only to get their sympathy and advice.
Anything but discuss his past any further, including the upsetting bit about his abducted twin sister. It’s been years since anyone’s spoken of her, but in the last year, it seemed like everyone had a skeleton in their closet. Yet Ron’s unwilling to again bring to light the hollowness in place of the pain he should be feeling. He refuses to put his parents and his family though that again. His sister’s dead, and that’s that.
But he’s been having strange dreams of late. Dreams where he’s in a dark place with whispers ripping through the silence. Where a sound like booming thunder roars through his ears, louder and louder. And then the darkness illuminates so brightly he has no choice but to close his eyes to block it, but it’s so intense it penetrates his eyelids—
And then Ron wakes up, wondering why on earth he’s having strange dreams about one of his housemates.

His behavior at Hogwarts over the years and his reign of Slytherin House is only a shadow of what he intends to inherit from the formidable Malfoy genes.
He’ll stop at nothing to become powerful, even if that means fully surrendering to the Dark. And Draco knows he can handle whatever’s thrown his way. Or so he thinks.
